GMCVO is the support (infrastructure) organisation for the voluntary sector in the sub-region of Greater Manchester.

Our aim is to strengthen the voluntary sector, build bridges with other sectors, and influence local and national policy. Our work is representing, promoting and developing voluntary organisations, working in partnership with other organisations doing similar work.
Mentoring & Befriending Advice
Mentoring & Befriending Advice is a specialist consultancy working with a wide range of organisations and agencies offering specialist impartial advice, training and support in the development of mentoring and befriending programmes in social, health, sport and corporate sectors.
Mentoring and Befriending Advice brings together practitioners and managers in networking events in order to share experience and good practice to develop the sector.
National Council for Voluntary Organisations
NCVO is a highly effective lobbying organisation and represents the views of its members, and the wider voluntary sector to government, the Charity Commission, the European Union and other bodies. They are also at the leading edge of research into, and analysis of, the voluntary sector. NCVO holds a directory of approved Consultants. I am a NCVO approved Consultant for 2008
