NEW FOR 2007 Bite - Sized Governance
This is a new approach to Trustee and Management Committee training and support.
Principle: The purpose of this training is to bring trustees together to develop a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities so that they are effective in the governance of their charity by following the good practice that is outlined in "Good Governance" -A Code for Voluntary and Community Sector and the guidance that is laid down in the National Standards for Trustees and Management Committees.
The training is designed in basic, key modules which will give a detailed overview of key issues within each section. Each module has been linked to the Code of Good Practice and National Occupational Standards. However these are not the only sources of information a wide range of materials is used to aid learning and development. The needs of individual boards and management committees will be considered and the modules can be tailored to meet these needs.
These workshops are effective for individual organisations who wishes to build their board as a team or for trustees from a range of organisations to come together to share and learn from their experiences.
