Organisational Development & Business PlanningReturn to Top

Support with reviewing and assessing current projects, services or the organisation in order to understand the issues you may be facing. You will be able to share your views, realise your challenges and problems, voice your aspirations and set goals to strategically plan, develop, implement change or apply for funding.

Support is given to construct and plan new services and projects so that they are part of your overall organisational vision, development plans and goals.

Monitoring and Evaluation Systems and Frameworks Return to Top

Advice and support with the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to maximise the evidence and data that you collect to meet monitoring and evaluation requirements of funders, partners and supporters, whilst keeping the processes manageable and in proportion to the work you are doing.

External Evaluation Return to Top

External review and evaluation of projects and services to provide evidence and information for funders, partners and supporters. This is usually around a very specific piece of work, a project or a service, the evaluation process is agreed with the organisation and implemented to produce a final evaluation report.

Some evaluations are carried out retrospectively after the work or project is nearing its end or a set period of time. Other evaluation is longer term and may run alongside a project or service during its life-time.

Funding Development and Applications Return to Top

Funding development is about reviewing your income streams and identifying new appropriate avenues of funding. This is usually done in the context of organisational and or project development and the writing of a funding strategy.

Whilst support is given to assist organisations and groups complete funding applications there is also an element of skills development to ensure and organisation is able to take forward their learning in future funding applications.

Volunteer Management Return to Top

Many organisations are dependent on the support of volunteers who are often in the frontline of service delivery. I work with organisations to develop sound volunteer policies and systems that enable them to welcome a diverse volunteer workforce who can effectively contribute to your organisation’s work.

External Supervision Return to Top

For smaller organisations it is often difficult for the management committee, board of Trustees etc to have the time and skills to manage and direct the Chief Officer, Manager or Director. External supervision may facilitate much needed support for such pressurised posts, allowing the Manager time to reflect on current work issues, explore options and set goals, and develop skills through action learning with their supervisor.

It may be beneficial for this type of supervision and support for people new in post, for an evolving, developing management board, to facilitate change or as a temporary measure to cover a period of sickness etc.
